Robin of Sherwood reimagines the timeless tale of Robin Hood through a unique lens, blending historical authenticity with elements of folklore and modern storytelling. Created by Richard Carpenter, this British series aired from 1984 to 1986 on ITV, later reaching American audiences as Robin Hood on Showtime and PBS. The show features Michael Praed and Jason Connery in dual portrayals of the iconic outlaw. Noteworthy for its gritty aesthetic, it stands apart from previous adaptations and is celebrated for its ethereal theme music by Clannad, which earned a BAFTA award.
