S02E15 Women

Women who commit murder often turn on those they know best, such as partners, family, or friends. Columbia forensic psychiatrist Dr. Michael Stone employs his scale of evil to delve into the psychology and motivations behind these crimes. Are women less likely to kill than men, or does the perception of them as the gentler sex allow them to evade justice for their more brutal acts? Dorothea Puente poisoned elderly alcoholics in her care, while Judy Neelley kidnapped and tortured young women. Meanwhile, Betty Broderick, the seemingly perfect homemaker, shot her ex-husband after he left her for a younger woman. Dr. Stone's analysis reveals the true nature of female killers.
