S02E02 See You in September

Eric and Annie decide to take a break from their usual routine to enjoy some quality time together as the Camden kids head back to school. However, chaos ensues on the first day. Ruthie defies school rules by wearing her cap backward, leading to a time-out from her teacher. Simon faces trouble at Junior High when he’s found with a knife meant for cutting his lunch, resulting in a one-day suspension. Meanwhile, Mary steps in to assist Lucy with her stubborn locker, which is stuck due to an old lock from Eric. When Lucy takes an aspirin from Mary, they catch the principal’s attention and are sent to the office. Matt joins them after Mr. Koper discovers he has a beeper left in his jacket by Eric. The siblings all receive one-day suspensions, and Mary finds out Mr. Koper is also her new basketball coach.
