Pete and Matt, members of a specialized trauma team, rush to attend to a victim of a vicious knife attack. Meanwhile, paramedics Christine and Chris begin their day shift responding to a man who has collapsed in Worcester's town center, likely due to a drug overdose. Jo and Tracey are called to assist 90-year-old Dennis, who is experiencing severe vomiting. Later, Christine and Chris are sent to care for Theresa, a terminally ill patient suspected of having neutropenic sepsis stemming from her cancer treatment. In the quiet of the night, crewmates Mark and Nieaal race with sirens to Ledbury to help 96-year-old Jim.
