S01E01 Old Ghosts

Two fishermen stumble upon a gruesome collection of bodies in a field near the Polish border. The staggering number of human skeletons and animal remains leads authorities to suspect a serial killer who has evaded capture for years. Detective Inspector Roland Voit is brought in to assist the large LKA team in the Oderbruch region. Coincidentally, his former childhood love, ex-police officer Maggie Kring, returns to her hometown of Krewlow. Their past complicates their objectivity as Maggie pursues her own investigation, haunted by the memory of her brother, Kai, who tragically drowned in the historic Oder flood when he was just 17. She finds herself questioning everything she thought she knew about his death.
