In "Fear in a Desert City," Richard Kimble adopts the alias James Lincoln as he arrives in Tucson, Arizona. He secures accommodation at a local hotel and finds employment as a bartender at the Branding Iron. There, he encounters the talented piano player Monica Welles, portrayed by Vera Miles, who is on the run from her obsessive and jealous husband, Ed Welles, played by Brian Keith. The tension escalates as Kimble navigates his new life while being drawn into Monica's perilous situation.
