Katie, a stressed-out cable news producer, is shocked to discover that her mother, Carol, has landed an internship at "The Breakdown." To Katie's dismay, Carol quickly wins over everyone in the office, including the pompous veteran anchor, Chuck. However, when Katie encounters a significant hurdle while working on an important story, she begins to see the silver lining and realizes that having her mom around at work might actually be beneficial after all.
