Nick remains dedicated to his struggling jazz band, despite the indifference of his sister Lauren, drummer Horace, and the unfaithful Jason. Their fortunes take a turn when a homeless man named Pete reveals a lift that serves as a time machine, transporting them to 1926. Once there, they draw unwanted attention until aristocratic twins Victoria and Ralph hire them for their birthday celebration.
